MGP 4 Obesity

How do you save individuals from being Obese? Well, I would suggest if we put action behind our words and stop stating what we could do and just go on and make the change. we could do as New York did back in 2013, and ban large sodas.  Under the plan, all restaurants, fast-food joints, delis, movie theaters, sports stadiums and food carts would be barred from selling sugar-sweetened drinks in cups larger than 16 ounces, as stated by the Wikipedia article on the New York City soft drink size limit. the same regulations doesn't go for the drinks in stores issued by the state. but my own opinion with that is, why sell the drinks in the stores if you aren't going to sell them in the restaurants?   In addition, the regulation excludes drinks that are more than 70 percent fruit juice, are diet sodas, or that contain alcohol. in New York the law was passed because they are actually thinking about the health and lives of people. they are not just saying it because they want people to take it into consideration but, they are putting force behind it and actually trying to make it happen. the individuals are saying it should be up to the individual and not the mayor. I personally feel like the government are just helping them, not hurting them or disrespecting their privacy or their lives. Restaurants and others that violate the law faces a $200 fine. I think this is a good way to get things going and get all these sugary drinks away from these children, especially. The health commissioner stated that the measure was a historic step to address a major health problem of our time.
